Last week the Dutch Startup Association had an introductory meeting with MP’s from the VVD.
Our head of Public Affairs, Rogier Klimbie, discussed the importance of start- and scaleups for the Dutch economy with Queeny Rajkowski, the spokesperson for Digital Affairs, and Pim van Strien, the spokesperson for Innovation. The topics included challenges such as the lack of tech talent in The Netherlands and expanding share options to employees, too.
In the upcoming weeks, the Dutch Startup Association will be meeting with MP’s from various parties to discuss the importance of fostering an innovative and startup-friendly ecosystem in the country. Moreover, we will emphasize the urgent need to strengthen the role of start- and scaleups in the Dutch economic recovery after the pandemic.
The DSA will push for fiscal, educational, and legal reforms such as outlined in our letter to the ‘informateur’, Mariette Hamer.
